The Government Newspaper Network of Vietnam on November 2 quoted Mr. Pham Minh Chinh at the meeting that Hanoi attaches great importance to relations with Washington and wishes to develop the relationship more effectively, in-depth, and stability.

Both sides agreed to promote the Comprehensive Partnership between Vietnam and the United States to develop more actively, including cooperation in finance and technology to solve climate issues, especially full performance under the Paris Agreement.

At COP26, the head of the Government of Hanoi announced Vietnam’s commitments in responding to climate change. The overriding commitment is net-zero deflation by 2050.

To fulfill this commitment, Vietnam needs the support of other countries in the world, including the United States. The US President and the Vietnamese PM welcomed the participation of US companies in the field of green and sustainable development in Vietnam.
